I guess I'm a bit old fashioned in that regard. I loved reading and looking through the manuals and getting hyped up even more for the game I was about to play. I'd rather have one instead of the 5 million ingame hint screens that sometimes even explain the most obvious stuff. I'm also incredibly sad that (colored!) manuals are not a thing at all anymore. I do like pins, but to me they're items you get from random trade boxes or gatchas for a couple of munnies and not 'cool bonus items' for a game's CE. I wish Squeenix would also stop putting in those dumb pins. (for comparison: the Persona 5 CE was roughly 15-20 Euro more expensive but you got a super nice box, steelbook, a better artbook, OST selection CD, a bag and a small plushie) I bought it anyway for collection purposes but I still felt it was put together hastily without any love and also way overpriced for what you get. The deluxe edition in general was a huge letdown in my opinion. I have the old special edition artbook and even that one was nicer if memory serves right.
